J.K. Rowling
"Writing for me is a kind of compulsion, so I don't think anyone could have made me do it, or prevented me from doing it."
Who am I?

Get creative!
When you look at the following three pictures you can only think of one book series...
J.K. Rowling got famous thanks to Harry Potter. The books have won multiple awards and sold more than 500 million
copies, becoming the best-selling book series in history. Because of this
success, the books have also been the basis of a film series.

J.K. Rowling is one of the few novelists who
still had a say in the Hollywood adaptation of her books. Most of the time
movie producers just buy the rights of a certain book and change whatever they
want to. But this was not what J.K. Rowling wanted! Because of her success, she
was so powerful that she got final approval over every movie. She was even a
movie producer in the last two movies. Despite her efforts, there
are still some differences between the books and the movies.

Who are the others?
Find three fellow pupils who have researched the other three authors. Get into character and introduce yourself in such a way that the others learn all about who you are and why you are still important for the English literature today. Your fellow pupils will do the same. Complete the grid on your worksheet with their information.
